Pictures
Rent my brain to draw something for you—a cartoon of camel having tea, an illustration of the guts of a sea star, a portrait of Charles Darwin. I like the immediacy of drawing. You put pen to paper and you can instantly create a new world. You should try it yourself, if you don't do it already.
Cartoons
I think of cartoons when I go for a walk in the morning. Then I draw them out and send them to magazines. Not so many magazines buy them any more. Which means I could do more for you, to your specifications, for presentations or greetings cards.
Comic strips
Swoosh! is a comic strip about a crew who roam outer space in a giant shoe. Ever since I saw American Splendor, I've been working on my own reality comic.
Illustrations
I have done many scientific illustrations for the Vancouver Aquarium's educator guides and their wet lab programs.
Sometimes the illustrations are just of things floating around in my brain.
