Boxtrolls

Enjoyed this quirky tale of gentle, box-wearing creatures who emerge at night to scavenge.  Town leaders in their tall white hats spend their time and taxes sampling cheese. The villain in his tall red hat and steampunk contraptions seeks to exterminate the maligned boxtrolls for a white hat and a seat at the cheese-tasting table, despite his ghastly allergic reactions, while two of his henchmen carry on philosophical discussions about good and evil. A boy raised by boxtrolls and an adventurous daughter of the head white hat save the day as they seek respect and a place in the world.
